Choromar Apartments

Booked this for a girls holiday, hotel itself isn’t to bad just basic. Bar/restaurant smells all the time. Our room was full of flies too. Staff was shocking, never met such rude staff in all my life! Everything was a chore and done with a huff. They want a deposit for absolutely EVERYTHING…on top of the €300 deposit…even the basics which should be included in the price of the room like air con and to use the tv remote! Our room never got cleaned once, no new towels, no toilet roll refill. When we went to ask for more toilet roll they said we can have more when the cleaners come the next day and we had to pretty much beg to have some. We asked for new towels and they said as it was only our second day we’re not allowed new towels either.

Hotel nice, staff very friendly, good food and nice rooms. We stayed for 13days and not once did housekeeping clean our room. They replaced towels and brushed the floor but our bedsheets werent changed once or the beds werent made. One day i also found lots of ants under the bed and coming in through the walls and found all over my belongings. There was stains on my bedsheets before i even slept in them and the wifi was not good.

Just got back from a 4 night stay, weather was amazing, food was good here, 1 bar man was lovely but........reception staff was utterly rude, we got told we had to pay a deposit for our room which is fine 100 euros and we could pay by card, not so 100 euros cash only, 20 euros for remote for aircon and 20 euros for tv remote. We found blood stained underwear at the back of our wardrobe when we where packing to leave (picture attached) had to block all wholes in kitchen and bathroom and towel by front door so we didn't get visitors (cockroaches) lifts didn't work, very run down areas in all and around the pool area, and in rooms themselves. Not close to new or old town you need to get ubers to where ever you need to go very cheap though around 4 euros. I won't stay here again

Waiting on our transfer to the airport after a fabulous 5 days here in this hotel and we are so sad we are going home. We had a huge 1 bed pool view apartment with a lovely kitchen and bathroom. It looks like it was modernised recently. Perfect for our family of four that includes men sized boys. Pool was lovely but it could do with a few more sun loungers lol. In fairness we always managed to get beds. There were a couple of groups of younger folks. They were no bother, were very respectful and a bit of craic. Honestly it was an amazing few days largely due to all of the warm and friendly staff, in particular Maria, Graca and Julia. We can't wait to come back. Tip: Download uber or bolt for taxis and they cost approx 4euro to the strip.

Had a superb stay, apartments were very spacious and clean there was enough kitchen utensils apart from the oven doesn’t work in any of the apartments so you only have the rings which didn’t bother us, cleaning was every 2days, very pleasant staff on reception and in the bar which you can get snacks from, it took a ten minute stroll to the New town strip and a short taxi ride to old town. Overall a great stay and would definitely return as excellent value for money.

Our room was in good condition and clean when we arrived, we stayed in block 3 which isn't directly next to the hotel's bar and pool meaning it was very quiet at night. It's nothing that would be considered luxury, but they are pretty good for the price we paid. We had 2 balconies, one at the front out of the living room and one out of one of the bedrooms, both of which were nice for drying things and using as a place to relax. The beds are nice, and its very useful that they give both a duvet and a thinner blanket as I personally used one or the other depending on the heat in albufiera that night. The room's bathroom was also nice, with a decently powerful shower, if you need a powerful one. (Attatched a couple of photos of some of the room's, and the balcony view out of my bedroom towards the pool and kids play area. Unfortunately did not get a photo of the kitchen or living area). We did have to pay a €300 deposit which was per room. There was 5 of us staying in the room so it only totaled out to €60 each, and we did get this back at the end of the stay. From my memory I did see information about a deposit but no disclosed amount, however it was explained to us that this was due to being a young group (all fresh out of high school) and that there had been issues previously with the party nature of the new town area, which is fair enough, just something to be aware of. There is also a €30 payment (€20 deposit) for the A/C and Safety deposit box, which is standard in my opinion, and we also got the €20 back. So all in all, while the deposit may seem steep, they are fair when deciding on whether they give that money back, as long as you keep your room in good condition, which we did. While we did not use the bar in the hotel (although it did look nice, with karaoke going on when we arrived and i believe at other points during our weeks stay), the reception staff were all really friendly and welcoming, and they were also very helpful, by giving us advice and guiding us when needed. And in addition the pool area was really nice, was mildly busy the time we went but nothing bad. The area in general is pretty good, it's a 10 minute walk to aldi give or take, and another 10 to the strip. It's a 45/50 minute walk to the old town square, personally I would just get an uber. Overall we are very happy, especially with what we paid, and i would absolutely reccomend this to others!
